New England Naturopathic Doctor Training

Here at Greenhouse Naturopathic Medicine, all Doctors have graduated from a four-year, post-graduate accredited medical programs in Naturopathic Medicine as well as being board certified North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE) and licensed by the State of New Hampshire Naturopathic Board of Examiners appointed by the Governor. We have a prescription formulary managed by the Naturopathic State Board and listed on the New Hampshire Board of Pharamacy website. We also carry a DEA number issued by the Drug Enforcement Agency for certain controlled medications.

Always check the credentials of anyone claiming to be trained in natural medicine to vet them for their understanding in the human body, diagnosis/treatment and their experience in how they would handle difficult medical conditions. It is so important to know the education of your natural medicine practitioner. Naturopathic Doctors are all held to the same standard of care and conduct you would expect from your conventional medical practitioner.

It is important to have guidance with choices involving medications, nutrition, exercise, herbal medications, hormone support and other nutraceuticals so that one does not spin their wheels. Often times patients try to apply all the information about natural medicine on the internet to self treat. It is easy to refer to Dr. Google, but our Doctor’s provide the experience of seeing over 3000 patients for varying conditions. Our knowledge could save time, possible adverse reactions, and money on products that do not yield results that were desired.

We can order labs you would typically get at a doctors office through mainstream laboratories (Labcorp and Quest) such as standard blood analysis for diagnosing common conditions as well as specialty labs looking for information most conventional medical offices would not typically run (i.e. salivary hormone analysis, heavy metal testing, genetic testing for detoxification pathways, in depth stool analysis, food sensitivity testing).

Greenhouse Naturopathic Medicine is also a Residency Training Site for the naturopathic profession, being the first of its kind in the State of New Hampshire. It is also one of the only sites specifically training in the naturopathic care of tick borne disease as well as general family practice. There is a great need for more doctors who are trained in specifically treating Lyme disease and associated infections.

Naturopathic principles

DO NO HARM, however it is natural for healing sometimes to be uncomfortable when issues are resolving

Treat the whole person, not just the parts

Teach self-care with the focus on prevention and awareness

Remove obstacles to healing. These obstacles can be attachments to negative beliefs about self, unhealthy lifestyle choices, trauma, genetics, hormone imbalance, environmental toxins and of course infections.

Our mission is to listen, to provide guidance and knowledge assisting in their healing.

To counsel an individual about options and help them manifest their own potential.

To work with all other medical providers in a cooperative way that serves the patients medical needs.
