Labor

Birth is empowering. Vaginal and Cesarean sections are births. Use of epidurals is birth.

As a DONA International trained Birth Doula, Dr. Hall provides doula services with a strong foundation rooted in medical practices. A primary goal of doula work is to promote coping through labor using various non-medical strategies. Labor is painful, but that does not mean suffering. We can spend time prenatally discussing the stages of labor, answering questions, compassionately addressing fears and providing further reputable resources. Advocating for your labor is best done before labor starts, and knowing your options is extremely valuable in building your birth plan. With her doula training, Dr. Hall can also provide suggestions for helpful positions to support labor progression as the baby descends through the pelvic inlet, mid-pelvis and pelvic outlet.

Postpartum

After labor, focus quickly shifts to your newborn. Greenhouse Natural Medicine can help with your self-care as you navigate your new life and as your body finds a new balance. There are more physical changes as you recover from labor, your uterus begins to return to normal size, and your perineum or incision begins to heal. In tandem, hormonal and emotional adjustments occur as you settle into your new life.

Concerns may include: birth recovery, c-section recovery, lactation support, postpartum mood shifts and further changes to your body and life.
